I shortly review time period of twelve years, 1989-2000, which was devoted to a theoretical support of experiments at LEP and SLC at Z resonance and discuss several directions of possible future work in the field of precision theoretical calculations for experiments at future colliders.Comment: 11 Latex, including 1 figures. ZFITTER v.6.21 - A Semi-Analytical Program for Fermion Pair Production in e+e- Annihilation

We describe ZFITTER, a Fortran program based on a semi-analytical approach to fermion pair production in e+e- annihilation at a wide range of centre-of-mass energies, including the PETRA, TRISTAN, LEP1/SLC, and LEP2 energies. A flexible treatment of complete O(alpha) QED corrections and of some higher order contributions is made possible with three calculational chains containing different realistic sets of restrictions in the photon phase space. Numerical integrations are at most one-dimensional. Complete O(alpha) weak loop corrections supplemented by selected higher-order terms may be included. The program calculates Delta r, the Z width, differential cross-sections, total cross-sections, integrated forward-backward asymmetries, left-right asymmetries, and for tau pair production also final-state polarization effects. Various interfaces allow fits to be performed with different sets of free parameters.Comment: 200 pages, Latex2e, 26 figures, 4 tables; uses axodraw, epsfig, epsf, graphicx, espcrc1; typos of v.1 corrected, version for subm. to Comp. ZFITTER: a semi-analytical program for fermion pair production in e+e- annihilation, from version 6.21 to version 6.42

ZFITTER is a Fortran program for the calculation of fermion pair production and radiative corrections at high energy e+e- colliders; it is also suitable for other applications where electroweak radiative corrections appear. ZFITTER is based on a semi-analytical approach to the calculation of radiative corrections in the Standard Model. We present a summary of new features of the ZFITTER program version 6.42 compared to version 6.21. The most important additions are: (i) some higher-order QED corrections to fermion pair production, (ii) electroweak one-loop corrections to atomic parity violation, (iii) electroweak one-loop corrections to nu-e nu-e-bar production, (iv) electroweak two-loop corrections to the W boson mass and the effective weak mixing angle.Comment: 60 pages, latex, 3 table

Radiative corrections to e+e- --> WW --> 4f with RACOONWW

RACOONWW is the first Monte Carlo generator for e+e- --> WW --> 4f(+gamma) that includes the electroweak O(alpha) radiative corrections in the double-pole approximation completely. Some numerical results for LEP2 energies are discussed, and the predictions for the total W-pair cross section are confronted with LEP2 data.Comment: 7 pages, latex, 5 postscript files, to appear in the Proceedings of the 5th Zeuthen Workshop on Elementary Particle Theory ``Loops and Legs in Quantum Field Theory'', Bastei/Koenigstein, Germany, April 9-14, 200

Radiative Corrections to Neutrino Deep Inelastic Scattering Revisited

Radiative corrections to neutrino deep inelastic scattering are revisited. One-loop electroweak corrections are re-calculated within the automatic SANC system. Terms with mass singularities are treated including higher order leading logarithmic corrections. Scheme dependence of corrections due to weak interactions is investigated. The results are implemented into the data analysis of the NOMAD experiment. The present theoretical accuracy in description of the process is discussed.Comment: 19 pages, two figures are added, discussion of theoretical uncertainties is extende

The NuTeV Anomaly, Lepton Universality, and Non-Universal Neutrino-Gauge Couplings

In previous studies we found that models with flavor-universal suppression of the neutrino-gauge couplings are compatible with NuTeV and Z-pole data. In this paper we expand our analysis to obtain constraints on flavor-dependent coupling suppression by including lepton universality data from W, tau, pi and K decays in fits to model parameters. We find that the data are consistent with a variety of patterns of coupling suppression. In particular, in scenarios in which the suppression arises from the mixing of light neutrinos with heavy gauge singlet states (neutrissimos), we find patterns of flavor-dependent coupling suppression which are also consistent with constraints from mu -> e gamma.Comment: REVTeX4, 25 pages, 10 postscript figures. QED corrections with partial angular integration to fermion pair production in e+e- - annihilation

    Get PDF
Analytic formulae are derived for the complete photon energy spectrum due to QED corrections to fermion pair production in case of a limited angular acceptance for the final state fermions. After a numerical integration over the energy of non-observed photons, this corresponds to typical experimental conditions at LEP/SLC.Comment: 8 pages, Latex, text is unchanged compared to preprint and Journal-re

Radiative corrections to the structure functions and sum rules in polarized DIS

The one-loop NLO radiative corrections to the observables in polarized DIS using assumption that a quark is an essential massive particle are considered. If compared with classical QCD formulae the obtained results are identical for the unpolarized and different for polarized sum rules, that can be explained as the influence of the finite quark mass effects on NLO QCD corrections. The explicit expression for one-loop NLO QCD contribution to the structure function g_2 is presented.Comment: 6 pages,1 figure.
